OluGbenga Odeyemi is a seasoned technology expert, entrepreneur, and global health specialist with over 20 years of experience in implementing data-driven software solutions, IT training, and certification. His professional journey began in September 2005 when he became a certified Java programmer as a teenager. Since then, he has acquired six additional certifications, solidifying his expertise in various aspects of technology.

OluGbenga’s academic background in Economics from the University of Abuja laid the foundation for his interest in data management, analysis, and science. He furthered his education with an MBA from the University of Suffolk, fostering his passion for leadership, business innovation and creativity. Additionally, he completed a professional course in Machine Learning and Data Science at MIT, focusing on data-driven decision-making. His academic pursuits culminated in a Master’s degree in Global Health from the University of Maryland, Baltimore, which he earned with distinction.

In the realm of public health, OluGbenga has been actively engaged since 2019, strengthening healthcare systems in Africa. His notable contributions include:

– NigeriaMRS, a fork of the OpenMRS
– Nigeria National Data Repository
– National Data Warehouse in Botswana
– Botswana National Laboratory system
– Malawi National Laboratory System

He has built capacity in data management and analysis for healthcare professionals, established linkages between healthcare information systems, and developed data-driven visualization dashboards. Leveraging machine learning and AI, OluGbenga has enhanced the efficiency and effectiveness of these systems.

Furthermore, OluGbenga has successfully designed and implemented several innovative solutions, including:

– A data-driven crime and incident response system for one of Nigeria’s National Security Agencies, providing real-time information to decision-makers and enhancing national security.
– Software infrastructure for a smart meter system in the power sector, integrating multiple independent devices and systems. This infrastructure provides vending, payment, data management, and visualization tools to both service providers and their customers.

As the founder and CEO of e86 Limited, OluGbenga has successfully grown the organization since its inception. In 2016, he was selected for the Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship program, securing funding to develop an electronic library aimed at improving access to learning materials in Africa. Today, e86 boasts multiple products and services, catering to a global clientele.

OluGbenga consistently demonstrates exceptional service delivery, fostering and maintaining robust client relationships through effective project management, service management, communication, and strategic planning. By harnessing the latest technological advancements, he provides innovative solutions that adapt to the changing requirements of his clients.

OluGbenga’s expertise is also sought after by other organizations, providing consulting services on healthcare information systems, data-driven software solutions, data management, analysis, and science projects.

Driven by a passion for giving back, OluGbenga offers mentorship, training, and business support pro bono to the younger generation. Through e86 Limited, he provides free tech scholarships to young girls, bridging the gender gap in technology.

In 2020, he was inspired to establish TLEG – The League of Extra-Ordinary Gentlemen (1 Chronicles 12:32), a fellowship for young men aged 16 to 40. With the mission is to provide guidance, mentorship, discipleship, and strategic positioning to these individuals.
He firmly believes that we must adopt a distinct approach to raising and training boys in order to foster a more compassionate and just world. 

Outside of his professional pursuits, OluGbenga enjoys music, spending time with his family, traveling, and personal growth.
